What are the energy efficiency works that we can have for our home?
The Retrofit Assessment of your home will confirm whether your property needs any energy efficiency measures.
Will these energy efficiency works cost me anything?
No. There is no cost to you if your property needs energy efficiency measures, the only thing that we will need is for you to be present in your home for two visits and the actual installation. One visit will be from one of our Retrofit Assessors, who will undertake an Energy Performance Certificate assessment of your home; talk to your about what you would like to achieve and how you use your home and another from the installer who will undertake a technical survey.

Is this a scam?

How much will I save from the improvements?
The aim of the project is to help you to reduce your energy usage through installing energy efficiency measures at your home. Given the current energy price rises, we are unable to promise that you will see savings on your energy bills, but these measures will help to reduce your energy usage and help against these price increases.
When do the works have to be completed?
All works must be identified in the coming months - so it is very important that we get your acceptance to proceed with our assessment and survey of your property as soon as possible. You can provide your acceptance here.
How long will it take for the energy efficiency improvements to be made to my home?
When we have received your acceptance to proceed we will arrange for the assessments and survey to take place. These can take 2-3 hours. After this has happened, you will be contacted by one of our Retrofit Coordinators who will advise what improvement works are possible (if any), what this will involve, answer any questions that you may have and to obtain your acceptance to proceed with the installation.

The works on your property will be scheduled in alongside others that will be taking place at your neighbours' properties, but you will receive good notice of this and information on anything that we may need you to do such as making areas clear for scaffolding (we can assist with this, if required), providing access to lofts etc.

Insulation works can usually be completed in a day. Other works may take place over days or possibly a couple of weeks, but this will be confirmed to you.
Who will carry out the energy efficiency improvement works?
The works will be managed and carried out by a suitably qualified and experienced contractor from Happy Energy Solutions Ltd who will be notified to you before the installation takes place. They will have Happy Energy Identity Badges and will confirm that they are working with Happy Energy.

Happy Energy Solutions Ltd will provide a dedicated point of contact, a Resident Liaison Officer, for you that will be able to answer any questions you have. This website will also have regular updates on progress, so keep checking back.

All works will be inspected by Happy Energy Solutions and we will ask you for your feedback.
How do I know that the person visiting me is from Happy Energy Solutions Ltd?
Once we have received your acceptance to proceed, you will be assigned a dedicated contact at Happy Energy Solutions Ltd.
They will be able to give you the company name and name of any person that will visit your home and you can set a password they have to use when they arrive. All people working on your home will carry a photographic Happy Energy Identity Badge with them.

Happy Energy Solutions Ltd contractors always make appointments and will never arrive unannounced. They never work outside normal working hours (8am to 5pm Monday to Friday) without arranging with you first.

Do not allow any unexpected visitors to enter you home without checking with Happy Energy Solutions Ltd first.
What if other repairs are needed to my home before the improvements can be made?
If additional works are identified at the initial assessment and survey to ensure that the energy efficiency improvements work properly - these will be discussed with MTVH.
